The Do's and Don'ts of art collecting: the discipline of smart collecting vs. random accumulation based merely on an impulsive "I like it"
- Learning about the LA art scene and its major players: artists, collectors, gallery owners, critics, and museum professionals
- Negotiating a favorable deal with art dealers
- Bringing art home: making sure it looks as good, if not better, as it does in the gallery
- Taking care of your collection: proper framing, documenting, appraising
Seminars consist of four Saturday meetings, each lasting from 10:30am to 3pm. The seminar is limited to 20 participants, and the fee is $600.
